The Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company (PVFC) is proud to be comprised of three distinct membership categories: Active Members, Social Members, and Lifetime Members.

Active Members are certified firefighters who actively respond to emergency incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.

Social Members are non-certified volunteers who provide essential support through fundraising events and work details, helping to keep the fire company running smoothly.

​

Lifetime Members are individuals who have dedicated over 20 years of service in the fire service, including at least 10 years of active service with PVFC.

​

Additionally, PVFC is home to a specialized Technical Rescue Team, which includes EMS personnel and units trained in rope rescue, swift water rescue, diving, rapid intervention, and confined space rescue. These highly skilled teams are crucial for tackling a variety of complex and high-risk rescue operations.
